Who stands behind ISIC?
The ISIC Association was formed in 1953 by the National Unions of Students in Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Supported by UNESCO since 1968, ISIC is now issued in over 100 countries, serving millions of students.
Registered in Denmark, the ISIC Association is a nonprofit membership organization composed of over 150 community members (including 46 full member organizations). It operates under the ISIC Association Constitution and Convention and is overseen by the ISIC Association Board.

The Mission

The Objective
The objective of the ISIC Association is for ISIC to become a must-have for students worldwide. This objective will be advanced by increasing access to educational opportunities, facilitating student life, fostering intercultural understanding and educational exchange, and forging stronger relationships between students of all nationalities and the global academic community.
